Hartberg signs Ousmane Diakite from Red Bull Salzburg
Ousmane Diakité is back in Austria after his loan and fit again after his cruciate ligament tear. In the Admiral Bundesliga, however, he will no longer stand for FC Red Bull Salzburg, but for TSV Hartberg.
The Styrians improved with the defensive midfielder and played the man from Mali until the summer of 2024. The Salzburg contract of the 22-year-old, who was brought to the city of Mozart in the summer of 2018, would have expired in the summer.
Most recently, Diakité, who was unable to record an appearance for Red Bull Salzburg, was loaned out to FC St. Gallen (16 games, two goals) and before that to SCR Altach (ten games, one goal). He made 19 appearances for FC Liefering.
“Ousmane is an insane potential player who will definitely enrich us with his qualities on our way,” says coach Markus Schopp.
Chairman and managing director Erich Korherr is happy “to be able to tick off the topic of central midfielders”: “Ousmane is a very talented player who has always been thrown off track by insights. He is motivated and ready for the restart and we are convinced that that he will help us immediately.”
Three exits at Hartberg
There are also three departures from the East Styrians: while the contract with Albert Ejupi is being terminated by mutual agreement, Thomas Kofler is moving back to his Tyrolean home to SC Imst. Israeli Eylon Almog returns to his home club Maccabi Tel Aviv.
