Malta will compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place on May 9, in Liverpool, in the United Kingdom.
The Allocation Draw, the Eurovision Handover Ceremony, and this year’s theme and slogan were revealed on Tuesday, kicking off the Eurovision season.
The Eurovision 2022 title went Ukraine’s way as they received the unwavering support of viewers around the world. After Russia invaded its neighboring country in 2022, the European Broadcasting Union decided that it would not be possible for the winning nation to host this year’s competition, thus it was decided between the -EBU and the BBC that the United Kingdom takes care of, honor Ukraine with their establishment of the event.
In May, Liverpool will welcome delegations from across Europe for this year’s edition, with the theme United in Music.
The big five: the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Italy automatically go through to the finals, along with reigning champions Ukraine.
Germany, Italy, and France will vote in the first semi-final and Ukraine, Spain and the United Kingdom will vote in the second semi-final.
This will be the 67th edition of the contest.
