Ukraine called on Hungary – Blikk
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs classified Viktor Orbán’s statement that language compared Ukraine to Afghanistan as unacceptable, and he called it no man’s land.
Foreign affairs spokesman Oleg Nikolenko said, “Hungary is deliberately destroying Hungarian-Ukrainian relations, that’s why they asked for the Hungarian ambassador to Ukraine,” read the Reuters in his article.
Ukraine expressed its firm protest to Ambassador István Íjgyártó due to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s recent derogatory statements, the ministry announced.
They informed the Hungarian diplomat that “the anti-Ukrainian rhetoric and relationship that the Hungarian leadership has continued for a long time is completely unacceptable and causes serious damage to the Ukrainian-Hungarian relationship”.
The ministry also added: “the Hungarian side was called upon to stop this negative trend in order to avoid irreparable consequences for the relations between the two countries”.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the request of the Hungarian ambassador to Ukraine
As is known, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said in relation to what happened, “the consequence of the war is that thousands of people die and entire parts of the country become wasteland. This is why Hungary wants peace and an immediate ceasefire instead of arms shipments. This has been Hungary’s clear position since the beginning of the war. Hungary does not want to get involved in the war either in words or in deeds”.
