School of Medicine, Neri is the new president
The professor, full professor of Radiology, was voted unanimously: “A role of responsibility in an epochal moment for the Pisan healthcare system”
PISA — There Interdepartmental School of Medicine has its new president: it is the professor Emmanuel Neriprofessor at the Department of Translational Research and New Technologies in Medicine and Surgery.
Born in Pisa in 1966, Professor Neriè professor of radiology and director of the University Radiodiagnostic Unit of the university hospital. He also coordinates the research group of the University of Pisa “Image Lab”is a partner in four Horizon 2020 projects, one Horizon Europe project and one Bando Salute project, developing research activities on digital health issues and in particular artificial intelligence.
Neri, who will hold the position until 31 October 2025, succeeds the professor Richard Zucchiwhich from 1 November is the rector of the University of Pisa. As vice president, Professor Neri chose the professor Martha MoscowProfessor of Rheumatology.
