(dr) During the night from Monday to Tuesday (January 31, 2023), two tricksters stole the wallet of a 19-year-old in the station district.
The injured party was in Moselstraße at around 3:10 a.m. when two young men spoke to him in a friendly manner and engaged them in a conversation. Meanwhile, one of the duo grabbed the 19-year-old’s hands, held them and shook them. At this point, the man’s accomplice moved behind the victim and stole a Breitling card/money holder including cards (bank cards, driver’s license, ID card, etc.) and 200 euros in cash from the back pocket of his pants. When the 19-year-old realized that he had been robbed, the two thieves had already gone in different directions. One disappeared via Taunusstraße to the main train station, the other in the direction of Kaiserstraße. The subsequent search for the two perpetrators was unsuccessful.
