Mindaugas Puidokas. A Lithuania of one truth and opinion created by liberal-conservatives is the road to the abyss
Many argue that there is a real threat of nuclear war. All geopolitical analysis in my shows is based on solid sources. Only all ignorant people do not want to analyze threats or are afraid to do so. It is true that if Puidokas is already an agent of the Kremlin because he dares to analyze the war in Ukraine and speak about the threat of the third world war, this adds global authorities to the list of agents. Such as John Mearsheimer, Henry Kissinger, Michael Friedman, Paul Goble, RAND, Hudson analysts, Economist, New York Times reporters and many others. All of them work on arguments according to needs – for the Kremlin. I wonder what those experts think: is Mikhail Podoliak, the adviser of V. Zelenskiy who spoke about the division of Russia as a possible post-war victorious scenario for Ukraine, also serving Putin!?
The Speaker of the Seimas forms a false opinion of the public without relying on facts
Those in power continue the tradition of dealing politically with anyone who sharply criticizes their actions. The speaker of the Seimas, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, decided to purposefully shape the opinion of the public and the Seimas Ethics and Procedures Commission about my shows without having seen them. My show does not say a word about the fact that Lithuania and Poland are preparing to attack Russia. The Lublin triangle is presented in the show as a fact, its activities are analyzed, but it is not criticized and there is no negative tone of Poland’s presentation. Unlike the liber-conservatives who rule Lithuania, I always publicly support the current Polish government and the value-based policies they implement.
My shows also do not say a word about the status of Russian-occupied Crimea. Maps are used de facto (not de jure) by Wikipedia, Google, and National Geographic, although none of them, like me, recognize the occupation. De jure for the whole world – this is the territory of Ukraine, which is de facto now controlled by Russia. The show uses a military map as an illustration of a possible World War 3, and to anyone listening to the show, that’s obvious if they have no other intentions.
Conservative Matelis wants to ban censorship and foreign policy analysis in Lithuania
According to the interpretations of B. Matelis, a member of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, who has never studied foreign policy, in his appeal to the Ethics and Procedures Commission of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, geopolitical analysis should be banned in the West! But we live in the Republic of Lithuania, whose Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania contains Article 25, which declares, “A person has the right to have his beliefs and express them freely.” A person must not be prevented from seeking, receiving and spreading information and ideas…” It also contains Article 44, which states that censorship of mass information by institutions is prohibited. The state, political parties, political and social organizations, others or individuals cannot monopolize the means of mass information “.
I invite everyone to watch analytical shows, read articles, books and educate yourself. I am grateful to my advisors and the team of volunteers that make the shows happen. LRT has already investigated that among the members of the Seimas, I am the one who allocates the most parliamentary funds to the publication of information on Facebook. We reach hundreds of people. The statute of the Seimas allows this, because it is very important to inform about fundamental problems in Lithuania and to mobilize people for peaceful resistance against the illegal actions of the liberal-conservative government. Until LRT starts inviting opinionated politicians and political scientists to its shows – then the opposition in Lithuania will have no other way out for its activities.
Do you want to finally turn Lithuania into a one-truth dictatorial country?
The only thing that saddens me is that they want to turn Lithuania into a dictatorial state of one opinion, one truth, where deeper democratic discussions and deeper analysis of events and situations are not desirable. You can only bully people up to a certain limit. They get fed up and then they find their sources of information. In Lithuania, that limit has already been reached. Maybe it’s time to change? A good sign – the former head of VSD Mečys Laurinkus wrote an article for which a political scientist and politician would be beaten: “The most likely scenario of the outcome of the war in Ukraine – “Georgia 2”:
