in 2022, +45% compared to the pre-covid era
After the two-year period 2020/2021, during which it was closed for several months due to the pandemic, in 2022 the Rovereta gaming hall returned to full operation. The comparison compared to the pre-covid era is positive. “We were expecting a 2022 with many unknowns. We have overcome them – declares the Director of the Games of the Titan Salvatore Caroni – and we had a growth over 2019 higher than 45%, with a turnover of 27.5 million”. In the Giochi del Titano company the State, with 74%, is the major shareholder while 26% belongs to the Chamber of Commerce.
The contribution for the public coffers is substantial, referring to the year that has just ended: “Based on the pre-final data – says the Director of Titan games – 18.5 million, between taxes and profits”. Salvatore Caronia has been managing the Rovereta gaming room since 2009, after having held the same position for 13 years at the Sanremo Casino: “When I arrived, I found a company almost close to closing. We had to reverse course by changing our game offer. Today – says Caronia – we can seriously aim to become a real gambling house, as foreseen in our industrial plan”. The Giochi del Titano employs 75 employees and about 25 collaborators, to ensure that it is open 365 days a year from 2 to 6 in the morning. 93% of the clientele is Italian and 7% domestic.
