Digital educational program for schoolchildren
VK and ANO Tsifrovaya ekonomika, with the support of the Ministry of Education of Russia and the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia, are launching a new season of the all-Russian educational project in the field of digital literacy and cybersecurity “Digital literacy program”. The project in an interactive format tells the younger generation how to behave safely on the Internet.
The project is available on the website https://digital-likbez.datalesson.ru. “Digital Likbez” with the help of educational videos teaches schoolchildren the basics of digital literacy and the rules of cybersecurity in the mass world. The videos will tell you how to recognize phishing attacks, use personal information on the Web, or how to act correctly when faced with cyberbullying. On the site “Digital Educational Program” teenagers will get acquainted with the interests – the heavy underwater world and the fictional city of Nizhneforelsk – blogger fish Anton Koryushkin, seal Zhenya, crab Kira and other sea injuries.
The project is intended for the age category 12+, recommended for viewing with parents or teachers and verified by the Russian Ministry of Education. There will also be videos for teachers, the materials of the “Digital Educational Program” can be easily integrated into the educational process in the lessons of life safety, computer science or popular collections.
“The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia is constantly working to improve the level of literacy of the population of our country: by 2024 this figure should be brought up to 75%. As part of the Digital Economy national program, many projects for simple digital competencies are already being implemented. The task of parents, teachers and children is to teach the child safe behavior on the Internet, to teach them to respond to negative reactions, and, most importantly, to know what interests they arouse. The Digital Educational Program project, implemented by the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia, taking into account the Digital Economy and dealing with digital technologies, is another positive example of joint work on mastering citizens with modern means of mass communication,” said Tatyana Trubnikova, Director of the Program Research Department and the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia.
“Helping schoolchildren learn technology and improve digital literacy is an important task for VKontakte. We educate schoolchildren, students, universities and parents around the world in a variety of formats. Right now, together with Uchi.ru, we held the Safe Internet Olympiad. It has already received a wide response in the country from schoolchildren and helps to gain knowledge related to the field of technology and the safety of online behavior, ”comments Sergey Mardanov, Director for the Development of School and Youth Projects on VKontakte.
“According to statistics, about three schoolchildren have encountered cyberbullying, insecure content or online fraud at least once. It is very important to teach children the rules of behavior on the Internet. I am sure that the new season of our Digital Educational Program project, in which VK became a partner, will teach the children a lot. The videos that we release as part of the project are an excellent tool using available examples to teach safety behavior in social networks and show how to spend time on the Internet with benefit. We thank VKontakte for not being indifferent to such a serious problem as digital literacy. Protecting the younger generation and instilling the basics of cyber hygiene is our common task,” comments Sergey Plugotarenko, General Director of ANO Tsifrovaya ekonomika.
