Russia is unlikely to use Belarus to launch an offensive in the coming months, officials said.
They note that the Alexandra Lukashenko experimental training grounds for the occupying troops will be brought to the Russians in order to train them and send them to Ukraine.
“We don’t see them at the border, and at the moment they don’t have the kind of logistical capacity to project and threaten Kyiv,” they say in the West.
Officials said that the presence of Russian troops in Belarus is forcing Ukraine to dismiss troops in the northern direction in order to level the risks.
“It is highly unlikely that Belarus will be in the next few months,” officials said.
