Badiashile’s replacement has arrived at ASM
While AS Monaco sold Benoît Badiashile for nearly 40 million euros, ASM already has a replacement in central defense.
The AS Monaco transfer window started very strong with the sale of Benoit BadiashileFrench neo-international at chelsea at the very beginning of January. In this operation, the Monegasques had recovered just under 40 million euros. A very good sale whose profits did not however push the ASM to invest during this winter transfer window, since the Rock club has been particularly calm in the direction of arrivals in recent weeks.
Nevertheless, the Monegasques wanted to remember, especially in defense, where the void left by the departure of Benoît Badiashile is difficult to fill for AS Monaco, which has explored several avenues. One of them leads in particular to Formose Mendy, a Senegalese defender playing in Amiensin Ligue 2. While ASM is still interested in the Amiens player, the club has just formalized the return of a central defender, on loan until then in Ligue 1.
AS Monaco Mercato: Chrislain Matsima returns to replace Badiashile
As expected, Chrislain Matsima returns to AS Monaco after a rather inconclusive loan with the FC Lorient. On loan from ASM to Les Merlus, the player has only played 7 games since the start of the season, and has never seemed to fit into Régis le Bris’ plans, in an FCL squad that has been running very well since. the start of the 2022-2023 fiscal year. However, this does not prevent the Rock club from recalling the 20-year-old defender from his loan in Brittany.
Although we do not yet know the place that Chrislain Matsima will have in AS Monaco, we can imagine that the Monegasque leaders brought him back to enter the rotation following the departure of Benoît Badiashile in the Premier League. It remains to be seen if the young French defender will succeed in winning at ASM during the second half of the season.
