Working meeting between the offices of Bulgaria and North Macedonia in Skopje
A working meeting between the services of Bulgaria and North Macedonia is planned for today. Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev is traveling to Skopje together with the Deputy Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Chairman of the National Security Agency.
The whole purpose of the meeting is to avoid tension during the celebration of Gotse Delchev’s anniversary on February 4.

According to the president of RSM, Bulgaria politicized the beating of Christian Pendikov
Relations between the two countries became strained after the beating of Christian Pendikov, as well as the statements of the President of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, that Bulgarian citizens should be declared persona non grata in the country and stopped at the border.
Barricades are being organized on social networks to prevent Bulgarian representatives from being admitted to the anniversary. Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov stated that Bulgaria will seek access to the celebration with a note.
