Strike at the SNCF this Tuesday: traffic usurpers in the RER and on the Transilien

Sugar Mizzy January 30, 2023

New and second day of strike and interprofessional demonstrations against the pension reform this Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Once again, many disruptions are expected at the SNCF. So, what should we expect in Ile-de-France public transport? We discover traffic usurpers in the RER and on the Transilien network.

The day of strikes and demonstrations interprofessional meetings planned this Tuesday, January 31, 2023 will it mobilize as much, or even more, than that of January 19? For now, no one knows. But calls to join the movement to protest the pension reform are numerous, especially in public transport.

Sunday, January 29, the RATP lifted the veil on metro traffic evaluatoras well as on the lines A and B of the RER. And train traffic looks very disrupted on Tuesday.

This Tuesday, January 31, the strike against the pension reform led by Elisabeth Borne is renewed, causing a lot of disruption for RATP transport. Which metro, RER, bus or tram lines operate in Île-de-France? [Lire la suite]

What about mobilization in other Ile-de-France transport, namely the RER C, D and E as well as on the Transilien network ? The situation will also be complicated this Tuesday. The four representative unions at the SNCFnamely the CGT-Cheminots, SUD Rail, UNSA Ferroviaire and the CFDT Cheminots, have called to join the movement.

“After the beautiful day of interprofessional mobilization on January 19, which saw 6 out of 10 paths take action by strike, we must now strengthen the fight against pension reform! The CGT Federation calls on railway workers to mobilize even more massively on January 31, to hold general meetings and to debate the intensification of strike action from the beginning of February.“one wrote the CGT-Railway workers in a communicated published on January 24. The SNCF Trade Union Federation, which raises the possibility of a renewable strike from mid-Februaryone also called “to make next January 31 a day of powerful interprofessional action, in the dynamics of that of January 19 and in the broadest unity“.

Same call forUNSA Railway who “decided by a large majority to call a strike on January 31 against the government’s pension reform plan.“

So what to expect tuesday 31 january in the RER and on the Transilien in Ile-de-France? The transport network announces that the “ Train traffic will be very unfavorable on the Transilien lines C, D, E, H, J, K, L, N, P, R and U on Tuesday January 31, until Wednesday 6 a.m. “. As well, SNCF Transilien recommends that users limit their movements, as far as possible.
