As the spokesman for the Warsaw police, Chief Commissioner Sylwester Marczak, told IAR, one of the three others was detained today in Warsaw’s Targówek.

– The course of subsequent events was established very quickly, people who were in our interest were identified and it was about the time when the wanted people were arrested. It was known with whom we had so far and we put all these puzzles together quickly – said Sylwester Marczak.

29-year-old victim

To the murder at Nowy Świat in Warsaw in the morning on May 8. The victim was a 29-year-old man who died in hospital from stab wounds inflicted in the chest.

Łukasz G., who was detained today, was previously convicted. In 2021, recognized by the District Court in Warsaw for complicity in setting fire to the prison for 3 years and 6 months in prison. Two suspects are still being pursued on the wanted list: 25-year-old Dawid Mirkowski and 24-year-old Sebastian Włodarczyk.

Today, the Persons Search and Identification Department and the Criminal Terror and Homicide Department detained Łukasz G. wanted in connection with the murder in Nowy Świat.
