Danish WC heroes celebrated in Copenhagen: – Enjoy the moment

Sport: The Danes came to the championship as favorites and many who do not succumb to the pressure of expectations. The final triumph was their 28th consecutive World Cup match without defeat.
Rasmus Lauge was subsequently singled out as one of the most important factors in the gold ending up in Danish hands for the third time in a row. No team has managed that feat before.
On Monday, the team was met by several thousand at Rådhusplassen in the capital, Copenhagen.
Culture Minister Jakob Engel-Schmidt (the Moderates) gave a speech, among others. He believes in victory also in the Olympics in Paris next summer.
– Dear national team, dear world champions. Where do you go after a triple win? To Paris? I think many Danes believe in that, Engel-Schmidt said.
– I hope this achievement can contribute to inspiring children and young people in the future, he continued.
Handball president Morten Christensen encouraged the team to enjoy a moment.
– Enjoy the moment to hell – and enjoy the tribute. You have earned it!
