The Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, and the President of the Croatian National Assembly (HNS) of BiH and the HDZ of BiH, Dragan Čović, met on Monday in Zagreb, where they discussed all the processes that follow the confirmation of the new convocation of the Council of Ministers of BiH and further reform processes after acquiring candidate status. of the status of BiH.
Plenković and Čović emphasized that the election of Borjana Krišto as the chairperson of the Council of Ministers is an opportunity to raise bilateral relations between Croatia and BiH to an even stronger level in the coming period.
They mentioned cooperation in terms of joint infrastructure projects, the strengthening of bilateral trade, economic and economic relations, as well as the transfer of Croatia’s experiences in the process of accession and full membership in the EU, it was announced on the website of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. .
The president of the HNS and HDZ of Bosnia and Herzegovina pointed out that the new government at the state level and the partners that make it up must complete the process of agreement on key political issues.
It was concluded that the political dialogue of the representatives of all three constituent nations has no alternative in reaching an agreement on the BiH Electoral Law, which would give momentum to the consolidation of internal relations and create a positive atmosphere for all much-needed reforms in the economic, economic and technological aspects.
Čović also thanked the Croatian Prime Minister for all the efforts he undertook to help the Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as for his key contribution in obtaining the status of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s candidate for membership.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia emphasized the need for the urgent formation of authorities at all levels in BiH, and especially in the Federation, in order to ensure the functionality of all institutions and the state.
He pointed out that political representatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina should open the subject of electoral legislation reform as soon as possible in order to ensure full equality of all three constituent peoples, especially the Croats as the smallest.
