ChatGPT vs Krakow dialect. Artificial intelligence laid out on the flagstone and thought terribly. We questioned AI with knowledge about Krakow
She has already passed the American medical exam, the Polish high school diploma and is still learning. The artificial intelligence ChatGPT created by OpenAI, i.e. the star of the Internet in recent weeks, is publicly available and constantly subjected to various tests. We were learning about Krakow with her. It turns out that she knows a lot about the city and its problems, when asked to come up with even a (very) general outline of the development strategy, but she eluded Mayor Jacek Majchrowski. But we also asked her about resolving fundamental issues: whether one should say “to the court” or “to the field” and who is older: Cracovia or Wisła. We did a test on the knowledge of the Krakow dialect. Effect? The artificial intelligence heavy in him made up his mind! Some of the answers are hilarious.
ChatGPT sometimes needs more time to think, but is responsible for and complete sentences. When it gets stuck and breaks off in mid-sentence (interest is very high, OpenAI servers are heavily overloaded) it can finish the converter. The basic language is English, but he is doing very well in Polish. He can take advantage of the fact that young people in Krakow have a problem with pointers to devices, but among the momentous moments of the list, he attributes to the city near Wawel… the Warsaw Uprising. The algorithm went crazy most often when asking about the Krakow dialect – and this is the funniest part of the conversation. In an unintentional way, because the AI can’t make jokes yet.
