For the day, 777 antigen tests were performed, of which 13 were positive, i.e. 1.67% positive samples. In comparison, in the previous report there were 2319 antigen tests, of which 56 were positive, i.e. 2.41%. PCR tests are 98, with no cases detected with this type of samples. In the previous report, there were 258 such tests, with 4 positive cases detected, or 1.55 percent.
Total confirmed cases are 1,295,255. 3,778,785 PCR and 7,200,820 antigen tests were performed (a total of 10,979,605)with the average percentage of positive samples since the beginning of the pandemic being 11.79 percent – no change in the daily basis.
Active cases easily increase and there are already 2835, which is 3 more direction than the previous report. According to an expert, the huge drop in early July, when active infections fell by about 90,000 in two weeks, is explained by the fact that there have been many unreported recoveries in the past two years and especially during the peaks of the previous waves, when the regional RHIs were extremely busy, due to which the real numbers are not taken into account, and now this indicator is being corrected.
There is also a slight increase in the number of hospitalized persons, as they are 270 – with 1 more (3 were hospitalized, 2 were discharged). For comparison, during the worst days of the pandemic in October last year, more than 7,200 patients were treated in hospitals. Patients admitted to intensive care units are 37 – with 1 less on a daily basis. Exactly occupancy of intensive care beds is one of the main criteria for tightening the measures in our country, and not, as before, the number of infected persons or active cases.
