Slovakia has a successful amateur hockey team: They entered the Guinness Book of Records!
Invincible?! We are talking about the amateur hockey team Tatranský Orli, founded by Robert Devečka (40), a native of Liptovský Mikuláš.
A group of enthusiasts from the ranks of former hockey players have already played in Australia, Thailand or the Himalayas, and suffered their first loss in the final at the end of last year. Nevertheless, their path to success is known and they even managed to enter the Guinness Book of Records.
It has been 8 years since the amateur hockey team Orli was formed in Slovakia, which inspires terror in opponents on the ice all over the world. Its founder is a native of Liptovský Mikuláš and former hockey player Robert Devečka (40).
“His jersey can be worn by anyone who knows how to play hockey and who has the desire, the time and the ability to present themselves as part of a money team at some international event.” the founder of the team signed with the team that several former professional hockey players appeared in their ranks, such as the “golden boy from Goteborg” Marek Uram. “Overall, the victory at a strong international tournament in Hong Kong in 2012, when our Slovak boys defeated the Canadian team in the final 5:2, can be considered the greatest success of that time.” stated Robert.
