Around 6.30 pm, the Antwerp police received a report of a fight in the Diepestraat, on the corner with the Handelstraat. “Five people were involved,” says Willem Migom, spokesman for the Antwerp police. “The fight used a screwdriver to stab and a cobblestone to hit.”
When the police arrived, four of the five persons were arrested, a fifth can still be traced. “Two people were slightly assaulted, two others were taken to hospital with stab wounds. One was stabbed in his back with the screwdriver, the other in his armpit,” says Migom.
The local detective will investigate the facts further. The four persons are all being questioned as a suspect and as a victim. The quarrel took place within the Afghan environment.
