Nitrogen, pulse fishing, manure: why is the Netherlands no longer able to lobby effectively in Brussels? | Don’t miss these stories

With the administrators-politicians of the so-called “traditional” parties, you as a citizen no longer need external enemies. Farmers are having a hard time, fishermen, entrepreneurs in general. The minima are in the cold, grocery prices have been sold. Old age pensioners are reimbursed at a minimum. They also raise VAT or other taxes without batting an eyelid. The focus is more on foreign countries than on its own residents. Maybe not, but it sure looks like it.

  • @ Ton Lucassen. 😉 First one is correct. But about that place. Think we’re going to drop a few spots on your ranking. 🫢

We often have to arrange things in a French way (prolonged / many detours), instead of in a Dutch way (straight to the point) and the entire EU from Finland to Cyprus and from Portugal to Bulgaria has to swallow it. Which department of Air France/KLM was also interim? Is France ever being blamed? These Napoleon supporters, taken over the horse, think (together with Germany) that they have the entire EU under control. It is right that the Netherlands protests.

Stop lobbying in Brussels, ban lobbyists by our own ministries and ministers. Look after the interests of the Netherlands first. Brussels has been made far too important and is simply taking over the shouting of a Timmermans, for example, while neighboring countries are simply different. So stop making the EU so important. First the interests of the Netherlands.

The Netherlands does everything to be the best boy in the class in Brussels, and the Dutch inhabitants? Unfortunately, they come in second place
