Monaco: Tudor and Longoria rail against unwhistled penal lety
Igor Tudor and Pablo Longoria came back after OM’s match against Monaco because of a criminal offense forgotten by the referee.
Marseille had to share the points with Monaco (1-1), Saturday evening during the clash of Ligue 1. Given the face of the match, the Olympians are doing well with this draw. However, they can also harbor regrets. They could also have won if the referee had not omitted to whistle a penalty in their favor.
Tudor and Longoria turned against the referee
At the heart of the second period, the Bosnian Sead Kolasinac was unbalanced in the surface of the ASM. The man in black turned a blind eye to this action, while Guillermo Maripan’s fault seemed obvious.
The Marseillais had done it badly at the final whistle. Igor Tudor, the coach, expressed his displeasure at the Canal+ microphone. “That’s probably one of the biggest refereeing mistakes I’ve ever seen. And telling me that Kolasinac fires beforehand is not an explanation. Normally it’s a red card. It is unbelievable and it is unacceptable”.

Besides the coach, President Pablo Longoria also appeared annoyed. The latter did not speak in front of the journalists, but we saw him quite upset just after the end of the game. In the corridors of the Velodrome, he was screaming all alone in all the languages and expressing his anger. “But what is the VAR for?” he cried furiously.
By drawing against ASM, Marseille retains its third place in the standings. But, the Phocaeans miss a great opportunity to dismiss the main team from the race for the podium. If they had won, there would have been an 8-goal difference between the two teams.
