IPMA puts mainland Portugal under yellow warning

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) today placed all districts in mainland Portugal under yellow warning due to the forecast of cold weather in the coming days.
In ten northern and central districts, the yellow warning came into effect at 6:56 pm today and will remain in effect until 6:00 am on Tuesday, January 31, according to a statement from the IPMA.
This group includes the districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Vila Real, Bragança, Aveiro, Viseu, Guarda, Coimbra and Leiria.
In turn, the districts of Castelo Branco, Santarém, Lisbon, Setúbal, Portalegre, Évora, Beja and Faro are also under yellow warning from 6:56 pm today, but until 6:00 am on Wednesday, February 1st.

The IPMA forecast for Monday predicts minimum temperatures between 6 degrees centigrade (Faro) and -6 degrees centigrade (Guarda).
