The work you now launch – The Timeline – Live in Lisbon – celebrates this quarter of a century of self-titled songs.
Recorded live in concert at Teatro Maria Matos, on April 13, 2022, this album shows Fernando Cunha leading a band that includes João Gomes (synthesizers and backing vocals), João Alves (12-string electric guitar, electric guitar and choirs), Tiago Maia (bass) and Francisco Cunha (drums) and João Campos (voice on the themes When Passing a Ship and I will smilechoirs and acoustic guitar).
And, like any celebrated show, this Lisbon performance also served as a pretext for Cunha to invite great friends to join some of the most emblematic songs of his career and of the national pop rock songbook: Diogo Campos, Pedro Jóia, Paulo Costa or Olavo Bilac are just a few of the names that keep him company in this work.
Altogether, this album brings together 15 songs that Fernando Cunha wrote alone or in happy collaborations with Maria León, Joana Alegre, Miguel Ângelo, João Gomes, Boss AC and António Silvestre.
