Double brawl in the night in Campo Bella Vienna, people injured
A night that ended badly between Saturday and Sunday when the nightlife in Campo De La Bella Vienna in Rialto around one o’clock took a turn for the worse and a fight broke out. According to the testimonies there would have been even more than one episode in which shoves, kicks, punches and blows flew. So much so that at one point the bar operators had to alarm the police force.
In fact, it seems that a knife was pulled out, used to strike a blow against a person and that only luckily the wound did not cause deep injuries. After the attack in the Erbaria area, a man around 25 who was rescued by Suem arrived at the emergency room of the civil hospital with a stab wound to the back. Medicated and discharged, he will have it for a fortnight. The local police had the task of restoring order to the field during the night, such as recovering evidence and testimonies of the incident to reconstruct presences and reasons for the attacks that broke out. A little before one o’clock, still on the pitch, an Italian and a Pole had come to blows and the latter, after suffering the worst, ended up in hospital with a broken nose.
A script that has unfortunately already been seen, and which tends to repeat itself every weekend in this meeting place which, at times, due to someone’s over-the-top behavior, becomes an area of ”violent nightlife” in the historic centre. And this, despite the fact that the bars have tried to strengthen private surveillance precisely to be able to continue working and keep open, as advised by the Municipality at the time, also to ensure a service and, all in all, a meeting place, if it weren’t for the presence of someone who can’t seem to control himself.
Several people were on the pitch when the fights broke out last night, there is talk of a dispute between Italians and foreigners but everything still needs to be verified. Meanwhile, it is the bartenders themselves in Campo Bella Vienna who ask to be able to make an appeal, also in view of the Carnival and the beginning of the summer. “Let them learn to drink – they comment – to have fun with respect, to be polite. I say: “enjoy”, make yourself a glass, laugh and joke. But we don’t need violence, and neither do the packs that face each other». Another comment from a resident: “Everything must be closed at 11 pm – he says – because it’s like this every Saturday night”.
