Bulgaria shamefully escaped the decision for an international tribunal for war crimes in Ukraine
“We are coming!” defined as shameful the fact that the Bulgarian MEPs did not vote for the creation of an international tribunal in The Hague for war crimes by representatives of the Russian and Belarusian political and military leaders.
The association notes that the Bulgarian representatives in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) left the assembly session early and returned to Bulgaria with the excuse of important political tasks in Sofia.
With this step, Bulgaria becomes known not only for the vices of its justice system, but also the deputies, led by GERB deputy Georg Georgiev, are boycotting the restoration of international legal order and justice, the association points out.
According to “We’re Coming!” this is proof of “the hypocrisy of Boyko Borisov’s party, which tirelessly offers Euro-Atlantic consensus and solidarity in its own country”.
They explain that on the one hand, This institute in The Hague would personalize the blame for the atrocities of the war, and on the other hand, it would take away the blame from entire nations that today are considered guilty.
There is no domestic political event to justify such pathetic behaviorwhich will lie on the conscience of the parties whose representatives have escaped responsibility, are categorical from the association.
