Visit Thailand Year 2023 campaign at Matka’s Nordic Travel Fair in Helsinki
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) presented the Visit Thailand Year 2023: Amazing New Chapters campaign and the country’s new direction towards meaningful tourism, where the focus is on valuable and sustainable tourism, at the Travel Nordics 2023 trade fair in Helsinki.
Siripakorn Cheawsamoot, TAT’s Deputy Governor of International Marketing – Europe, Africa, Middle East and America, said: “TAT continues to emphasize the development of sustainable tourism in Thailand together with a meaningful travel experience. At the same time, we invite travelers from Finland and the Baltic countries to discover wonderful Thai destinations beyond the beaches and cities .
At Matka’s Nordic travel fair 2023 and at the Visit Thailand Year 2023 Networking Lunch specially organized for tour operators and airline partners, TAT presented Thailand’s direction towards experience-based tourism, more sustainable and responsible tourism, and the exchange of ideas to encourage tourism. Thailand in summer and winter 2023-2024.
This includes the soft power foundation of the kingdom’s 5Fs, namely food, film, festival, fight and fashion, as well as inviting world travelers to enjoy Thailand’s many new and existing tourism experiences.
TAT implements the “ABCD Fast Forward” strategy in long-distance markets, such as in the Nordic countries:
A – Airline Focus continue to cooperate with leading airlines.
B – Big cities and beyond to penetrate new markets in major and secondary cities.
C – Cooperation is key work with new partners, including tour operators, travel agencies and online travel agencies.
D – A destination for everyone promotes Thailand as a “year-round destination” to meet visitor demand regardless of season and across all segments, including family, medical and wellness in the Middle East or LGBTQ+ in Europe and America.
TAT targets 25 million international tourists in 2023 and total tourism receipts of 2.38 trillion baht, representing a return to 80% of pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
As the largest travel fair in the Nordic countries, MATKA fair will be held this year from 19 to 22 January, more than 900 companies from 70 countries and more than 50,000 visitors participated after a two-year break caused by the pandemic. (TAT)
