The best bakery in the region is Vaucluse, according to the program La Meilleur Boulangerie de France, and it is located in Cabrières-d’Avignon! The result was aired on Friday night’s show. And since the Lyse bakery won this title, it’s crazy, it’s always full!
Julien Samson, the manager, is touched: “the impact is incredible, all the feedback is nice. On social networks we received more than 600 messages, a lady came especially from Marseille and this morning there was a crowd like at Christmas.
“We didn’t expect it to go so fast”
It must be said that in his bakery, Julien Samson and his team are attentive to many details, and that is what, according to the manager, made the difference. “We offered them original and local things. For example, for the favorite product, we made a sandwich with trout from Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. We added crunchy baby vegetables, radish, carrot, beetroot and spinach leaves. The jury also loved the store, the welcome… all of that made a small difference I think.”
Such an impact that they recruit between three and four people for sales but also for baking…and that’s not all. “We are expanding the bakery. Because when we started, there were six of us and now we are twenty-four. So the premises are starting to get a little small, we hadn’t expected it to go so quickly.” It must be said that with his company they settled in the Vaucluse only three years ago.
