Lyons. Cyclist seriously injured by fleeing car
A 33-year-old cyclist was seriously injured on Friday evening in Lyon (3rd), in a collision with a car whose driver fled.
According to our information, at 8:40 p.m., the cyclist, who was traveling in the bus lane on avenue Lacassagne, was hit by a Renault Clio arriving at high speed from rue du Docteur Paul-Diday.
An extremely violent shock
The shock was extremely violent and the young woman was thrown about twenty meters, while the car immediately left the scene.
Supported by the firefighters and the Samu, the victim was transported in critical condition to the Édouard Herriot hospital and, this Saturday morning, his vital prognosis remained engaged.
An investigation is underway to identify the fleeing motorist and clarify the circumstances of the accident, which occurred at an intersection protected by traffic lights.
