Here is the response of the Hungarian foreign ministry to the summons of the Hungarian ambassador to Ukraine!
Hungary does not want to get involved in the war, neither in words nor in deeds, underlined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade when contacted by Mandiner.
“The consequence of the war is that thousands of people die and entire parts of the country become wasteland. This is why Hungary wants peace and an immediate ceasefire instead of arms deliveries. This has been Hungary’s clear position since the beginning of the war.
Hungary does not want to get involved in the war either in words or deeds”
– the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade responded to our newspaper’s inquiry.

We contacted the ministry in connection with the fact that – as The Mandiner wrote it – the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry urges István Íjgyártó, Hungary’s ambassador to Ukraine, to complain about Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s “unacceptable” comments about Ukraine.
Oleg Nikolenko wrote on Facebook that Orbán told journalists that Ukraine is a no-man’s land and compared it to Afghanistan. “Such statements are completely unacceptable. “Budapest continues the path aimed at destroying Hungarian-Ukrainian relations” – He told. He added: “We will invite the Hungarian ambassador to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a meeting. We reserve the right to bring other good as well.”
