Florence, Nardella: «Popular cases? You need a piano like in Fanfani’s time»
“I’m sorry, I say it without controversy, that the government has cut rent support funds”
After the denunciation of the CGIL and Sunia – in Florence it takes twenty years to wait to access a social housing – the mayor Dario Nardella, explains that “we need a new large house plan, as happened in Fanfani’s time”. He said it via video link to the congress of the Chamber of Labor in Naples, where he proposed starting from the 14 metropolitan cities to make them “real social and economic laboratories, with innovative solutions on transport and housing”. Since Fanfani’s time «we have never had a real strategic plan for the house. I’m sorry, I say this without controversy, that the government has cut rent support funds, a tool that we mayors have used. It is a growing problem, it also concerns companies, it favors employment mobility, it accentuates the gap between North and South».
