Tymoteusz (played by Tymoteusz Bies) – a young pianist, a student of the Warsaw University of Music – returns for holidays to her hometown, where she feels like his mother, younger brother and complete with the estate. The central connection of the youth computer is the newly opened kebab bar. Tymoteusz becomes a witness to the spiraling tensions between his colleagues, an employee of Arab descent. A spiral whose finale will turn out to be tragic. The film “Bread and Salt” is inspired by real events and played by amateurs.
Hot summer, lazy time, hip-hop freestyle, guys with tattoos and flirty girls, it’s better not to mess with it. This is what the place from his youth looks like, to which Tymoteusz returns – a student of the Warsaw Academy of Music, preparing to start his career as a pianist. There is also his mother and brother Jacek (Jacek Bies) and friends from the old days hanging out in the estate. However, Tymoteusz appears here only for a moment – after the holidays he goes to Western Europe, where he received a scholarship. This short visit is more than enough to access the central connection point to the youth computer, which is a newly-owned kebab bar. The guys from the estate get along well with foreigners, but there are favorable exceptions. The conflict worsens over time. The spiral of horror begins to wind up, and Tymoteusz will find himself at the very center of it.
