🇸🇮 Slovenia: Joker Out will perform “Carpe Diem” at Eurovision 2023
RTVSLO announced that Joker Out will perform for Slovenia at Eurovision 2023 with the song Carpe Diem.
The recording of the revealed show of Slovenia’s performance at Eurovision 2023 took place in Ljubljana today. RTVSLO announced that the song with which Joker Out will represent Slovenia is called Carpe Diem, and it was previously confirmed that the song is in Slovenian.
Miša Molk will host Mission Liverpool, which will be broadcast on February 4. She commented on the Eurovision Song Contest in Slovenia in 1992 and from 1996 to 2000, and announced the first Slovenian points at the competition in 1993.
During the show, viewers will join Joker Out as they record their song for the competition in Hamburg, Germany. The group said about their song, which they will perform in Slovenian:
“For a long time, the Eurovision Song Contest was not defined or limited by genre. We stay true to ourselves, regardless of where and when we perform,”
Many former Slovenian competitors will also perform as part of the show; Amaya (2011), LPS (2021), Nuša Derenda (2001) and Tomaž Mihelič (2002). In addition, Konstrakta (Serbia 2022) will perform.

Slovenia was one of the three countries that joined the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. The country qualified through a specially organized Millstreet Qualification round held in Slovenia, seven countries competed for three places at Eurovision 1993. The country participated in 22 performances of the Eurovision Song Contest. The best result was achieved in 1995, when Darja Švajger took 7th place with a total of 84 points, closely followed by Nuša Derenda, who took 7th place in 2001 with 70 points.
