US investment in Northern Greece will continue

As the president of the Chamber said, Nikolaos Bakatselos, welcoming the guests, after the adventure of the pandemic the events of the Chamber come back with a goal the strengthening of relations between the two countries.
In his short greeting, Mr. Bakatselos underlined that in recent years Greece has been showing the whole world a new good face, which results from the good performance of the economy, the increase in GDP, exports and investments as well as the decrease of unemployment.
He noted that since 2018, when the USA was an honored country at the International Exhibition of Thessaloniki, the return of America to Greece and especially to Northern Greece has begun with investments such as Pfizer, Cisco and other large American companies. As he predicted, she the trend will continue in cooperation with Greek companies while identified as of particular interest for Northern Greece, tourism, energy and agri-food.
At the event, the chargé d’affaires at the US embassy in Athens, Maria Olson, as the representative of the US ambassador to our country, George Tsuni, the deputy minister of the interior (Macedonia-Thrace sector) Stavros Kalafatis, the regional governor of Central Macedonia and Apostolos John the mayor addressed the event of the city, Konstantinos Zervas.
