Iran’s Pres. Sludge Burning Of The Koran In Sweden
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has condemned the burning of the Koran in Sweden, saying that insulting Islam, its holy book and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is an insult to all Abrahamic religions.
President Raisi added that the desecration of the Koran and Islamic sanctities is an affront to humanity.
He rejected Western claims that the desecration of the Koran is about free speech. The Iranian president said that such blasphemous acts are actually a violation of freedom of expression.
Earlier, Iran’s leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that the insane insult of the Koran under the pretext of defending freedom of speech shows that the global arrogance is directly attacking Islam itself and the Koran.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that despite this conspiracy of global arrogance, the Quran has shone more and more every day and the future belongs to Islam.
Iran’s leader also called on all free people in the world to stand with the Muslims to confront the evil politics of desecrating sanctuaries and spewing hatred.
On Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian also hit out at the insult to the Koran in a phone call with his French counterpart.
He told Catherine Conolla that European countries must prevent the repetition of such sacrilegious acts.
Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously condemned the desecration of the Koran in Sweden and Denmark.
