Cracow University of Technology gained a laboratory worth almost PLN 7 million
A world-class research laboratory worth nearly PLN 7 million effect at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology of the Cracow University of Technology. The faculty laboratory can be used not only by WIiTCh researchers and students, but also by other university faculties and external research units. As noted at the University of Technology, the new research center also applies to industrial partnerships.
A laboratory equipped with class equipment for conducting physico-chemical research in many different sciences and industries.
– We hope that the investment in modern research will contribute to the equipment for the advanced development of scientific research at our faculty and university. We also want to support activities with the industry with the new infrastructure – says dr hab. Eng. Piotr Michorczyk prof. PK, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology. The impulse for the multi-million investment of WIiTCh CUT in new research equipment was the dynamic development of the faculty’s research equipment.
The new laboratory includes the study of the high-resolution scanning electron microscopy method, the quality and quantity of the combined chemical composition in micro-areas using the SEMEDS method, as well as qualitative and quantitative measurements in addition to the phase composition using the X-ray powder diffraction method, SAXS, XRR measurements, as well as high-temperature X-ray powder diffraction measurements.
