The mayor of Prague 7 warned of the danger to children. But there is no reason to panic
Two cases of a child being approached suspiciously by an adult happened in the past few days in the vicinity of the Umělecká and Františka Plamínková schools in Prague 7. The mayor of the district, Jan Čižinský, drew attention to this on his Facebook profile. In one case he lured an unknown person into the car, in the other he watched his child on the way home.

“The police know everything and act, I cannot write more. What I can write is that there is no reason to panic,” Jan Čižinský assured the local public.
Finally, he added a few recommendations. “But it will definitely be good if you remind your children that they don’t talk to strangers, never get into a car with a stranger, and if the children are approached by a stranger from the car, I have to get so far away from the car that the person he couldn’t reach in the car,” he said.

“And if the child notices that someone is following him, he immediately calls his parents, the police, if he does not go home, but looks for the public in a busy place, ideally mothers with children,” added Mayor Čižinský.
The police were aware of both cases and are conducting extensive investigations. “We are in contact both with the relevant workers of the city district and with the principals of the schools,” spokesman Jan Rybanský told iDNES.cz.
