These are THE works that will enliven the city of Toulouse over the next few years: metro line C construction site who will connect Colomiers a Labegefrom the end of the year 2028.
This Thursday, January 26, 2023, a train from this line C will now be unveiled to the public. A train installed since January 25 at Square Charles de Gaulle next to the Capitole metro exit. Here are some pictures.
These trainsets, and this is a novelty, are produced by Alstom. They will be 70 centimeters wider (2.70 meters against 2 meters) than the frames of the A and B lines supplied by Siemens. In total, they will be 36 meters long and can be extended to 48 meters according to the needs of the line. Finally, they could carry 286 to 386 travelers.
Trains with air conditioning!
Another significant change compared to what we know on lines A and B, it will be possible to cycle from one train to another without leaving the platforms, and there will be… the air conditioner.
An inauguration in the presence of politicians
This trainset will therefore be built this Thursday January 26 in the presence of many political personalities as Jean-Luc Moudencthe mayor of Toulouse, Carole Degathe regional president, Sebastian Vincinithe president of the county council or Jean-Michel Latte, Chairman of Tisséo. It will be on display for a fortnight.
