Club Half Moon in Salzburg opens for one night only for women
Club for women, no versus Behavior
organizer of the special party in the “Haferl”. Sarah Baumgartner, influencer, entrepreneur and employee in the office of the Salzburg provincial councilor Andrea Klambauer (NEOS). Baumgartner is also involved with her network, which was founded in 2021 “Alpha Lioness” for women’s issues and rights and regularly organized events that revolve around female empowerment. The idea for “Unleashed” was born from this network: “It’s not just about reduced entry or specials for women, but the club really belongs to them all night,” Baumgartner said in an interview with events.at.
The Half Moon and its manager Martin Sonmezay immediately taken with the idea. “The Haferl is a real pioneer club, it is also part of the Luisa campaign Celebrate without falling over. There is always a positive atmosphere and good vibes there, so it’s the perfect location,” says Baumgartner.
The basic idea of ”Unleashed” is to create a positive experience and space for the visitors. “It’s just supposed to be a nice evening fur become women, but not versus Behavior. Comparable to an over 30 party or a men’s regulars’ table, where people like to keep to themselves. Women should be able to party here free of fears and worries, with a lot of positive energy,” the organizer explains the idea.
The club has space for around 300 people, and admission for the evening is said to be 10 euros. The local pop singer Sandra Hesch, who will present her new single, has been announced as the main act. DJane Nikolett V will be DJing.
If the first edition is a success, it would probably be possible to host “Unleashed” regularly in the future. “We have already received a number of interested inquiries from other federal states,” says Baumgartner, who is pleased about the positive response so far. But it doesn’t work entirely without negative comments: “Of course, there are very controversial discussions on social media. But that’s also a good thing, only discourse creates movement. And it wouldn’t be a courageous event without some headwind.”
