Parking lot in Opatov: The municipality canceled the selection of construction companies, did not provide information on time
The city councilors approved the selection of companies at the end of last October. However, according to today’s approved document, an objection was received from the association of companies Gardenline, Yucon CZ and Adefexwhich also participated.
Winning association by objection provided false information in the qualification criteria of the team members who were supposed to work on the construction site. The municipality stated that it was not possible to obtain additional information from the winner of the tender within the settlement period. “That is why it is proposed to cancel the decision on the selection of the supplier in view of the above-mentioned facts, and at the same time it is proposed to order the evaluation committee to carry out a new assessment and evaluation of the bids,” reads the statement of reasons for today’s councilors’ resolution.
Four-story parking garage in the South City is to ensure connectivity to the metro and buses for commuter drivers. The city is planning to build a park on its roof, which is to serve, among other things, seniors from a nearby retirement home. Last year, representatives of the Spolu coalition (ODS, TOP 09, KDU-ČSL) criticized the fact that the selection of the supplier was decided by the serving council after the elections.
The year before last, Prague completed the construction of a P+R parking garage for 886 cars at Černý Most for around half a billion crowns. Last year, B started the construction of another one near the Nové Butovice metro station, which is to accommodate 400 stalls and cost 293 million crowns. Another house is planned by the municipality, for example, in Zličín. P+R parking lots are intended primarily for commuters in Central Bohemia and are intended to ease traffic in the metropolis by allowing drivers to leave their cars on the outskirts of the city and continue using public transport.
