Surheim/Freilassing – Carnival focus checks by the Freilassing Police Inspectorate
Saaldorf-Surheim/Freilassing – Tonight, January 22nd, the Freilassing police station carried out a priority campaign for more safety on the road, as an increased number of trips under the influence of alcohol and drugs is to be expected during the carnival season.
First, a 23-year-old driver was started at around 12:50 a.m. in Saaldorf, not far from a carnival event, by a traffic check. The odor of alcohol was detected during the inspection. The man underwent a breathalyzer test. This resulted in a value of over 0.5 per thousand. The onward journey was stopped and the driver had to undergo a blood test. The 23-year-old faces administrative offense proceedings and a one-month driving ban.
Around 4 a.m., a 23-year-old driver in Saaldorf had to change his car to a traffic check before starting his journey. A voluntary breath alcohol test was carried out as part of the control. The test showed a value of over one per thousand. The officials prohibited the journey and an acquaintance who was able to drive continued to drive on. The driver’s license office WILL be informed of the incident.
The officers fight a 48-year-old driver in Freilassing at around 5.30 a.m. at a traffic control. A small amount of marijuana and hashish was found during the inspection. A drug test carried out on the driver revealed that he was under the influence of drugs. The onward journey was also prevented and he also had to undergo a blood test. Criminal proceedings, administrative offense proceedings and a driving ban await him.
