Amy Winehouse’s band will give more concerts in Portugal
Even without an artist, the group continues to play their themes around the world – with the help of another singer.
Amy Winehouse died in July 2011, but her legacy lives on. Her music continues to be heard all over the world, including Portugal. This statement will take on another meaning in 2023, as our country will host concerts by the band that accompanied the deceased artist.
Over the years, the musicians continued to tour and took the singer’s most famous themes to various stages, with the support of vocalist Bronte Shand. The “Forever Amy” show was conceived by music director Dale Davis, who was a close friend of Amy Winehouse, and includes a light and video performance, making the experience more immersive through the art of Britons who died aged just 27.
In the accompaniment there is no lack of songs like “Rehab”, “Back To Black”, “Valerie”, “Love Is A Losing Game”, “Tears Dry On Their Own” or “I’m No Good”, among others. Initially, a single date was announced, for Casino Estoril, on March 28th. However, two more were scheduled.
Amy Winehouse’s band performs on March 30 at Teatro Municipal da Guarda; and April 1st at Teatro José Lúcio da Silva, in Leiria. The transits follow the room, but they can all be purchased online: for the Estorilto the guard is for leiria.
