With Wine&Siena 2023 there is the Solidarity Bottle
Wine&Siena is solidarity. The event adheres to the invitation of QuaViO odv, a voluntary organization engaged in Siena and its province in palliative care for cancer patients, which asks the producers present to donate one of their bottles. The goal is to collect products of excellence to be used for fundraising initiatives useful for financing a new psychological support project.
A “Bottle for solidarity” is one of mutual aid which will also see a final delivery at the conclusion of the event, on Monday 30 January, in the Sant’Ansano Hall, at the end of the closing press conference. This is the initiative in which the journey into excellence Wine&Siena The Masterpieces of Taste is taking part. Siena confirms itself as the location for the first major event of the year in wine in Italy thanks to the event that returns to the city from 27 to 30 January ’23, as per tradition, to start the wine year and kick off an entire year of appointments signed The WineHunter. About 600 labels to taste from all over Italy and beyond. And then there will be around 60 products including chocolates, cheeses, oil, meats and cured meats, beer, cured meats, pasta, rice, cereals, grappas and liqueurs, beer from all over the country.
QuaViO (Quality of Life in Oncology) is a voluntary association which, in the city of the Palio and in its province, deals with palliative care and, therefore, with the protection of life until the last moment. He has been assisting cancer patients for over 30 years completely free of charge. In 2022 alone, more than 200 people benefited from psychological, health and social assistance services. A bottle of wine can help support this cause. In particular, what will be raised will be used to finance an ongoing project with which a psycho-oncologist will be present for 12 hours a week at a Siena hospital outpatient clinic. This will mean having succeeded in adding psychological assistance to the sick at home, which is already provided, to hospital assistance. The closing of a virtuous circle in which the patient is never “alone”.
