The footballers of Pilsen and Ostrava won in the general season for the league spring, Brno lost to Slovan
Viktoria coach Michal Bílek has already deployed a line-up that should be similar to the one in which his team will start the spring part of the season. The West Bohemians had more of the game and struck for the first time just before the break. Chorý pounced on Holík’s cross from the right in the 43rd minute and opened the scoring with a header against the post.
The 27-year-old attacker, who with nine goals is tied for second place in the Czech league in the scoring table, then made his mark shortly after switching sides. In the 53rd minute, he headed in Havel’s cross for a change. After that, Pilsen could have given their opponent from the Norwegian league, which is played in the spring-autumn system, more goals, but they did not convert several opportunities.
At the training camp in Spain, Viktoria won for the first time after the previous two draws with German Heidenheim and Ferencváros Budapest. Pilsen will enter the spring part of the first league next weekend with a home duel against Hradec Králové. In the standings, the West Bohemian defender has a two-point lead over Slavia Prague.
Ostrava lost only one of the four matches of the winter training and won three of them, moreover with a clean sheet. Cada and Jiří Klíma prevailed against the eighth team of the Polish league. Czech defenders Jakub Jugas and David Jablonský also played for Cracovia, which defeated Olomouc on Monday. “I’m satisfied with the result. We didn’t concede a goal, even though he had a chance and could have punished us. The first half bore a great measure, but overall we were feeling tired,” said Baník coach Pavel Hapal for the club’s television.
České Budějovice scored first in the winter training in the general round, which after a turnaround defeated the third team of the Kosovo League Priština 4:1. Four different scorers scored for Dynamo. The South Bohemians partly corrected the previous debacle 0:4 with Lodz. “I think it was a good match from our side against a quality opponent. I’m glad that we scored four goals and we ended the training session positively. There were good situations, good action. I’m satisfied,” said Tomáš, one of the pair of new České Budějovice coaches Backwater.
Bohemians 1905 also confirmed their role as favorites in the general and beat Radnički Niš 2:1. Adam Jánoš and substitute Martin Hála scored against the thirteenth team of the Serbian league. Prague won in Turkey after three previous draws.
At the end of the training camp, Olomouc overcame a two-goal deficit against Kisvárda and drew 2:2 after a penalty by Mojmír Chytil and a goal by Lukáš Vraštil. Czech forward Jaroslav Navrátil also started for the third team of the Hungarian league, which lost 0:3 against Hradec Králové on Monday.
Brno in Senica took the lead against Slovan Bratislava after Michal Ševčík scored, but the opponent turned the situation around. In the 82nd minute, Slovakian representative Juraj Kucka made the decision. Czechs Jaromír Zmrhal and Jurij Medvedev also played for Slovan.
At the end of the training camp in Turkey, Teplice quickly conceded to Rapid, and the next three goals were scored only in the final quarter of an hour. Abdallah Gning was reduced to the twelfth team of the Czech top division, but the fourth team of the Austrian league had the last word. The North Bohemians lost two out of three duels at the camp.
“Efficiency was decisive. The opponent hit the goal three times and scored three goals. We had four or five goal chances and we didn’t. I hope we chose it today and we want it here in Turkey. We lost two out of three games here, that’s the only mistake. I hope, that we are well prepared,” said Teplice coach Jiří Jarošík.
The spring part of the first league starts next weekend.
