Michael Moussa Adamo died today in Libreville, after a heart attack during the Council of Ministers, announced the Government and a presidential source.
Very close to the President, Ali Bongo Ondimba, Moussa Adamo “was the victim of a heart attack” and, “despite the efforts of specialists”, it was no longer possible to revive him, explains a brief statement from the Government, quoted by the France-Presse agency. .
The 62-year-old minister “sat down at the beginning of the Council of Ministers and started to feel bad”, said a source close to the presidential palace.
Taken “unconscious” under pressure to a military hospital and placed in intensive care, he died shortly after noon, according to the same source, who requested anonymity.
“He was a great diplomat, a true statesman. For me, he was above all a friend, loyal and faithful, on whom I could always count. It is a great loss for Gabon”, ruled the President on Twitter.
