Live | Paris: her cat escapes and is cut in half by a TGV, she demands “justice” from the SNCF
The image must have been particularly shocking. The owners of a cat saw their animal finish “cut in half“after the passage of a TGV in Montparnasse station in Paris, on January 2, reports the Parisian site.
A mother and her daughter had to take a train to Bordeaux. In a bag, they carry Neko, their cat. But the latter allows to escape and will peacefully settle on the rails. In panic, the mother and her daughter try to alert the SNCF agents present to recover their animal. Except that the company, for security reasons, is strictly forbidden to owners to venture on the road to help Neko.
“‘When the train will leave, it will escape’, I was told” remembers the mother. Except that it will not be so. As the TGV restarts, the animal does not move and ends up being cut in half under the eyes of its owners.
The scene, particularly violent, will end with a surprising proposal relating to the mother in Le Parisien. That of going to recover the remains of the animal on the track. “I don’t understand: we couldn’t go down to save our cat alive, but it is now possible to recover it dead“.
From now on, the mother and her daughter are claiming”Justice” to the SNCF. In the columns of the daily newspaper, the company evokes a “tragic situation“that she “deeply regret“. The SNCF ended by indicating that it proposed”a free ticket for the mother and for the teenager to take the next train“.
