Russia: – Denmark is drawn in
On Thursday afternoon, the Danish government announced that they will donate weapons to Ukraine. It must be a matter of 19 French-made Caesar howitzers, which are a form of artillery weapon for indirect fire.
The Russian embassy in Copenhagen believes the arms donation is cynical and immoral, writes Danish BT.
Furthermore, the donation will delay and escalate the conflict, the embassy believes.
– The war could be over in 2024
– Will lead to more victims
– Denmark is increasingly drawn into the conflict in Ukraine. The belief that peace can be achieved through arms deliveries is cynical and immoral, writes the Russian embassy in a statement.
Furthermore, they claim that the arms donation will lead to new victims, as it is claimed that Ukrainian forces are using artillery systems to destroy schools, hospitals and other cultural institutions.
– The Danish media and politicians prefer not to inform the public about this, writes the embassy.

Donated powerful guns
It was Denmark’s Minister of Defence, Jakob Ellemann-Jensen, who announced the arms donation.
– The situation in Ukraine is, as everyone knows, cruel. The Ukrainians have clearly asked for more support from the free world, including from Denmark, says Ellemann-Jensen.
The Caesar howitzers donated are powerful guns that are mounted on armored trucks. They can hit the target at a distance of up to 40 kilometers.
