CNN pays homage to the city and Friuli Venezia Giulia
By now more and more newspapers talk about our region, its beauties and hidden secrets to be discovered. CNN also talked about it in an article entirely dedicated to Friuli Venezia Giulia, and in particular to our beloved city. A tribute to our heritage that is often ignored by many, but which, according to CNN – and others – is worth a visit, since “mountains, beaches and lagoons do not make up one of the most beautiful and varied landscapes in Italy”. Thanks to its landscape, with 13 nature reserves and the park of the Friulian Dolomites, Friuli Venezia Giulia represents a “paradisiacal green spot” capable of giving indescribable emotions to those who experience it and discover it. Called a “Little Vienna”, a small Vienna thanks to its architecture, Trieste is praised in all its facets and particularities, from the Miramare Castle, to the Barcolana competition, to the presence of the Bora. Furthermore, there is no shortage of references to the typical dishes of the region such as jota, sardines in savor and putizza, as well as mentions of the renowned wines and cheeses spread throughout the area. Trieste is a “jewel of aristocratic glamour” which thanks to its resources is emerging internationally and increasingly present on the scene of places to see at least once in a lifetime.
