Charlene of Monaco: by the way, with Kate Middleton, have they already met?
This is certainly the most anticipated event of 2023 on the royal side: King Charles III will be crowned at Westminster Abbey, London on Saturday May 6, in the presence of the Windsor family, eminent members of the British aristocracy, but above all international members of the elite, like Albert II and Charlene of Monaco. This Wednesday, January 18, the Monegasque prince indeed confirmed with the magazine People that he will attend at the historic ceremony with his wife. Thus, Charlène will see among the other guests, and will certainly discuss, with another well-known princess… Kate Middleton ! A meeting that will undoubtedly be scrutinized by their subjects and by the media. However, this will not be the first time that the two royal highnesses will appear at the same event.
Back in May 2012. Married for less than a year to Prince William, Kate Middleton is taking her first steps as Duchess of Cambridge. All dapper in her $2,000 pink dress by Emilia Wickstead, as reported American weekly, she elegantly attends the celebrations for the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. A reception is given at Windsor Castle on the 18th of the month, with several crowned heads as invitations. Among them, Princess Charlene, refined in a blue suit and also freshly married to Prince Albert. Their paths cross, and, while sipping white wine, the two princesses and their husbands chat, under the crackle of camera flashes. Their reunion next May should thrill photographers just as much.

Prince Albert can’t wait to reunite with King Charles
Asked by our colleagues, Prince Albert delivered his joy to return to the UK for the coronation of Charles, which he defined as “a very patient man and a very educated man with a great sense of humor“. According to him, there is no doubt that the ceremony “will be incredible and very moving” : “I am also certain that Her Majesty will add their ‘personal touch’ at the ceremony. But what it was, I don’t know.”he predicted. Albert II of Monaco continued this interview by mentioning son of friendship with Charles III. “We have maintained contact with Her Majesty since he became King, but I have not spoken to her in person since the Queen’s funeral” he detailed.
As for the question of a potential meeting between their twins Jacques and Gabriella and Kate and William’s three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, the mystery remains… “I don’t know what is planned for the other family members and the children may still be a little young for this kind of ceremony, but we will see”,concluded Prince Albert.
