“In fact, full-scale hostilities in the Donbass have not stopped since 2014,” the president said at a meeting with relatives of besieged Leningrad and veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

The head of state focuses on the fact that protecting the population of Donbass and consuming the war unleashed by Kyiv is a profitable pretext for a special gamble.

Former press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov declaredthat everyone set themselves the initial goals of the military operation in Ukraine. He added that the release of the DPR and LPR is also a priority.

On the night of February 24, Vladimir Putin announced that he had accepted decision about an extension in the Donbass. At the same time, he stressed that the plans of the powers of the Russian Federation do not include the occupation of the territories of Ukraine.
