Good performance by the Portuguese team, better than the night before (when they won by 3-2) and much better than the selected Spaniard.
At half-time, the Portuguese lead was 2-0; in the second half, the Portuguese reached 4-0; Spain finished 4-2; and the final score was set at 5-2. For Portugal, they scored Tiago Macedo, Lucas Mestre, Andriy Dzyalochynskyy (2) and Lúcio Rocha. For Spain, they billed Gonzalo Santa Cruz and Rubén Rodó.
José Luís Mendes, national coach, to our report, was “satisfied” with this preparation in Elvas, which he considered a “good basis” for qualifying from March onwards. As for the game, he said that his team “had been very well” and “superior to the opponent”.
Daniel Pina, president of the Portalegre Football Association, told Rádio ELVAS that these games are “recognition” of the Portuguese Football Federation for what has been done in Elvas for futsal, in particular for Belhó Raposeira, who “committed to training” and “already reached a district title”.
